​HUMANITIES - BLENDING HISTORY, LITERATURE , AND CULTURE 

Adinkra Symbols 

As a part of our partnership with Mural Arts, one of McGeehan's Humanities classes worked with Mr. Liu and Ms. Patty to create their own prints inspired by Ashanti Adinkra symbols and their own experiences. This is an extension of our work from Unit 1 in Humanities where we are exploring traditions of expression with origins in Africa.

"This is my Body"

Students opened this year by writing poetry. These are a few of their "My Body" poems. ​In humanities this fall, students created reflective poems tentatively  titled "This is My Body." Here are a few stellar student creations.
