Clarice Brazas

Upon finishing my Ed.S. at the University of West Georgia in 2017, I knew I wanted to do something new and different. After ten years of teaching a traditional language arts curriculum, I am now teaching Discovery, a reading and writing workshop about math and science. I’ve made it through a decade of teaching and am still looking for ways to grow and perfect my craft; the U School is great place to try new things and push my own boundaries. This is my first year teaching in the School District of Philadelphia following five years of teaching at  Clarkston High School in DeKalb County, GA. Teaching 9th graders is a different adventure every day, and I’m excited to see how these students mature as learners and people. ​
