Samuel Reed IIISamuel Reed, III, is a founding U School educator and has been teaching students to read, write and make sense of the world for over 19 years. Reed’s passion includes arts in education, media literacy and understanding youth culture. He blogs for the Philadelphia Public School Notebook and his work has been published in University of Pennsylvania GSE Perspective of Urban Education. Most recently he published an article, Connected Learning and the Rules of Engagement, for Heinemann's Digital Campus. Reed attended Philadelphia public schools, and has been fortunate to live and travel abroad in such places as Botswana, Kenya and Russia. He received a BA in Computer Science from the Cheyney State University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Clark Atlanta University, and Masters in Education (Ed. M.) from Temple University.
